Welcome from The Principal

Welcome to The Milton Keynes Academy (MKA) and thank you for taking the time to find out about what we believe is the most exciting school in Milton Keynes. We are proud members of Creative Education Trust, working collaboratively with a network of schools to deliver an education that unlocks opportunity, inspires ambition, and equips every student for lasting success.

MKA is first and foremost a place of learning, where students feel safe and enjoy their educational journey. Learning is at the centre of everything we do, both in and out of the classroom, and your child will flourish in the midst of so many possibilities. Our dedicated team of subject specialists work with students to share the knowledge, passion and drive which makes each subject exciting and unique. Our teachers work in their departments and across our wider Trust to ensure the subject curriculum is valid, relevant and linked to real life, future passions and careers. This is complemented by a strong and varied extracurricular programme where all students are encouraged to take part and get the most out of their time at school. Our Student Council regularly review the clubs and activities we provide and, when students want new opportunities or a change to the programme, we work together to make that happen.

At MKA, we firmly believe that our young people should be given every opportunity to achieve beyond their potential. Each one of our students is unique and is recognised as an individual. It is our responsibility to celebrate this and provide them with the skills and abilities that prepare them to be successful and safe now and in the future. Every student at MKA is valued as an individual and seen as a potential leader for the future. We support their growth through our core values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Equality and Aspiration, which are further underpinned by our school motto of Dream, Believe, Succeed.

Our Academy exists for our community and its children. We set our expectations high and work with all our students, their families, our staff and the wider community to get the best outcomes possible, whether that be in academic results, community engagement, performing arts, or performance on the sports pitch. We set out to ensure all students feel nurtured, supported and listened to and that all families are part of our partnership.

We hope that the information across our website will help you to decide if MKA is the right place for your child and I encourage you to get in touch to arrange a visit to see it for yourselves. The best way to fully experience and appreciate what MKA has to offer is to visit during a normal school day. We look forward to hearing from you and to answer any further questions you may have.
