Congratulations to our Year 13 Students

It was a results day like no other. No atmosphere of nervous anticipation, no gathering of students sharing holiday stories, no cheers or tears. Covid 19 meant that most students found out their results online at home.

It has been an anxious time for students, not able to finish their studies and with no final exams to prove themselves. However, with rigorous work from staff approximately 75% of students were awarded the grades that teachers expected them to achieve if they had sat the exams.

The vast majority of students have achieved their first-choice university places. We are proud that MKA students are continuing to make ambitious choices and going to the very best universities, studying a variety of subjects from Law through to Chemistry, Midwifery to Artificial Intelligence. This is a time for looking forward, Macey Payne summed it up by saying, ‘I am delighted with my three A grades and I can now look forward to preparing for uni.’ Macey is going to be studying Law at the University of Coventry.

Fiona Seddon, Principal reflected, ‘It has been a challenging time for our students, but they have shown great resilience, spirit and strength of character. I am delighted, that despite everything, our students have achieved their chosen next steps.’
